Teresa Torchia of Brighton, New York has been practicing art for over ten years. She is influenced by the work of such masters as John Singer Sargent, Georges Braque and Thomas Wilmer Dewing. Her sophisticated style lends itself well to a variety of subject matter from conventional portraiture to abstract compositions. It is the order and simplicity of nature that inspires her work. Although her style is rooted in the traditions of the "Old Masters", she feels that her art is an accurate reflection of the times in which we live.
